Five voices, one road

The Stray Bullitz came together in Western Kentucky — five players, one shared record collection, and a stack of songs that had been waiting on the right band to play them. What comes out is southern rock with an outlaw country backbone: harmony-heavy, guitar-driven, in no particular hurry.

Nobody outside this band has touched the sound. That's the whole point.

Everything is self-produced — written, tracked, mixed and put out by the five of us. It means the records take longer and the edges stay rough. It also means what you hear is exactly what we meant.

The record we're building

The debut album is being made the way the songs were written — slow, in a room, with everybody playing at once. Two tracks are already out. The rest are in various states of finished.
